City Ordinance
There are Birmingham Ordinances that support healthy, smoke-free living in Birmingham.
In 2012, the Birmingham City Council passed an ordinance limiting smoking in public places (Ordinance NO. 12-52).
In 2019, the Birmingham City Council passed an ordinance prohibiting smoking in a Health District (Ordinance NO. 19-159) surrounding several health-related organizations on Birmingham’s Southside.
